About this work

The books have fallen open, the story has escaped, and Alice is no longer waiting to be told where Wonderland begins.

She sits at the centre of an impossible landscape, provocative, theatrical and entirely at ease amongst its absurdities. Behind her, a monumental hand cradles a crimson heart — love, danger and the lingering presence of a Queen whose rules no longer seem to matter.

Around her lie the scattered pages of the tale she once inhabited. Familiar fragments remain, but their scale and meaning have shifted. Wonderland has ceased to be somewhere Alice visits.

It has become something she possesses.

This is an Alice grown beyond the confines of the original story — no longer lost down the rabbit hole, but rewriting the dream for herself.

The book may have given her Wonderland.

Imagination gave her the freedom to change it.

How it is made, and what you receive

Built, not captured
Every element is photographed separately, then layered and worked in Photoshop until the scene holds together as one image.
No AI, no stock images
Every photograph in every composite was taken by me. Nothing here is generated, and nothing is bought in from a library.
Printed on metal
The image is infused into a ChromaLuxe aluminium panel rather than laid on top of it, which is what gives these prints their depth and luminosity. Paper cannot do it.
Signed and numbered
Each print is signed, numbered within its edition, and sent with a certificate of authenticity.
Made to order
Nothing sits in a warehouse. Your print is produced when you order it, which takes about two weeks, then shipped insured.
