Shipping & Returns
Last updated 8 September 2026
Every piece is made to order and is a heavy, rigid metal print. Producing and packing one properly takes care, and I would rather take an extra day over it than have work arrive damaged.
How long it takes
Each print is produced after you order it. Allow about two weeks for the piece to be made, plus transit time on top. If you need something for a particular date, email me before ordering and I will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Packing
Work is corner-protected, wrapped, and boxed in rigid packaging built for the size of the piece. Free-floating prints are packed with their mounting hardware. Everything is sent insured for its full value.
Delivery cost
Delivery is charged separately and is not included in the price shown on each piece. It is added at checkout, so you see the total before you pay.
| United Kingdom | Rest of the world | |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork | £20 | £50 |
| Books | £12 | £25 |
Where I ship
I deliver to the United Kingdom and worldwide. The checkout lists the countries I ship to most often — if yours is not there, email me before ordering and I will arrange it.
Import duties and taxes
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, any import duty, customs charge or local sales tax is payable by you. It is normally collected by the carrier before or on delivery. These charges are set by your own country and I have no control over them and cannot estimate them — if they matter to your decision, check with your local customs office before ordering.
The company is not VAT registered, so no UK VAT is charged on anything.
When it arrives
Please open and check the work as soon as you reasonably can. If anything has gone wrong in transit, email me within 48 hours with photographs of both the damage and the packaging — the packaging photographs are what the insurer needs. I will replace the piece where the edition allows, or refund you in full.
Changing your mind
You have 14 days from receiving the work to change your mind, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This applies even though pieces are printed to order, because a limited edition print is not a personalised item. The full details are in the terms and conditions.
In short: email me within 14 days, then return the piece within a further 14 days, in its original packaging and insured, to:
Gary Nicholls Imaginarium Limited
42a Church Street
Old Hatfield
Hertfordshire AL9 5AW
I will refund the purchase price and your original standard delivery cost within 14 days of the work reaching me. Return postage is yours unless the piece arrived damaged or was not as described.
Commissions
Work created to your own brief is a commission, and is not covered by the 14-day right to change your mind. If you are commissioning something, we will agree the terms in writing before I start.
Questions
If you are buying a large piece, shipping internationally, or need it by a particular date, email me first at gary@g-n-p.co.uk and I will give you a proper answer before you order.
